About Good Sign
What Good Sign is
Good Sign is an I Ching reading you can sit down with: Lin, the house reader, asks what's on your mind, throws the coins, and reads the Book of Changes for your question.
You can start the moment you arrive. There's nothing to install and nothing to sign up for first.
A sitting is closer to a conversation at a quiet table than to looking something up. You say what's keeping you up, Lin asks a little more, and what she reads you is about the question you actually asked.
Who Lin is
Lin (琳, "a fine jade") is the house reader, the one you sit down with. She listens first, gives your own words back to you, and reads the old text with them in front of her.
Lin is Good Sign studio's reader: her face and voice are the studio's, and her readings are composed with AI assistance from the Book of Changes and what you tell her.
How a sitting goes
- You tell her what's on your mind. Lin asks a few questions, one at a time. Anything you'd rather keep to yourself, you can decline, and she reads without it.
- She throws the coins. The throws build your hexagram: six stacked lines, one of the sixty-four figures the Book of Changes is written around.
- She tells you what she sees. Her first two lines are about you and the question you brought, before anything else.
- Then her full reading. One long sitting, page by page, that holds the old text up against what you told her.
